ogma chat — privacy policy
Effective 19 July 2026What ogma chat is
ogma chat is a client for workspaces speaking the ogma chat protocol. It connects to a server chosen by you (or your organisation) at sign-in. Your data lives on that server — the app operates no central service and no analytics backend.
Data the app handles
- Account — your email address and display name, used to sign you in to the server you chose and to attribute your messages.
- Content — messages and file attachments you send, stored on your chosen server.
- Push token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) or Apple Push Notification (iOS) registration token, held by your server so it can deliver message notifications to your device. It is removed when you sign out.
What the app does not do
- No advertising, and no data is sold or shared with third parties.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs; no collection of location, contacts, or device identifiers beyond the push token above.
- No data leaves your chosen server except push notification payloads, which transit Google's or Apple's push services to reach your device.
Deletion
Signing out removes the app's stored credentials and push registration. Account and message deletion are handled by your server's administrator. For workspaces operated through sys4.au, contact the address below.
